The 30-day Harry Potter challenge →
Day 12: Fave ship. I didn’t ship them from the moment they first met at the Hogwarts Express - but I really love the way their story turned out. Romione all the way!

The 30-day Harry Potter challenge →
Day 11: What character would you say you are most like? Even though I’m male, I always identified with Hermione. I’m a bookworm and I can be an unbearable know-it-all, but like Hermione I would do anything for my friends and family. Unlike Hermione I can’t travel back in time, but I have a thing for gingers.

The Harry Potter Alliance: Chocolate, child labor,... →
thehpalliance: We’ve said it ad nauseum: we will not tolerate child labor in Harry’s name. Too often, though, leaving matters at their most basic names deprives people of the truth behind the noun, the horrors embodied by those two words. It’s never pleasant to hear, but it needs to be heard. Here are a few…

Sherlock BBC: Please do not reblog any photos... →
bbcsherlockftw: People, this favor has been asked of us by Martin and Amanda themselves, and we need to respect their privacy and wants. Please do not reblog any photos containing their kids, and if you happen across someone who has reblogged it, kindly explain to him or her that it is the wishes of the parents that the photo not be circulated. Hopefully, the person will comply, as most people...

Once I used the intro of the Evanescence song “Good Enough” for a presentation in my German class. So here were are, listening to peaceful piano music when suddenly the CD jumps to “Lithium” for a second (“Aaaa-aaahh-aahh-aaahhhh!”) before returning to the Good Enough intro again. My classmates were all like “WTF?”

Day 5: Fave male character and why. When I was younger I always wanted to have a teacher like Lupin. His lessons were fun, exciting and informative. I really wish he had gotten more spotlight later in the series and survived the war.

My thoughts on casting Bilbo Baggins
2009: Nobody could ever replace Sir Ian Holm.
2010: Arthur Dent? Seriously?
2012: OMG have you seen Sherlock? Martin Freeman is like the best actor EVER

Me watching "The Reichenbach Fall"
Expectation: The title being an obvious allusion to the story "The Final Problem", we'll probably see Sherlock faking his own death only to return alive and well in Season 3.
Reality: *bawling my eyes out anyway*

littlewhitesnowowl: vablatsky: heavenwonttakeme: Feel as if I’ve seen the damn thing already. …and I haven’t even read the book yet. You should do it, really! ;) It’s not like I’m not trying. ^^ A friend wanted to give the book to me as a birthday present. She got sick and didn’t make it to the party. :(

Day 3: Is there any of the films adaptations that have made you angry because they’ve ignored important parts of the book. Every movie ignored some more or less important parts of the book, but most of the time it didn’t really impact the quality of the film and I could understand the reasons behind the omission (time, pacing and so on). I can’t say that about Goblet of Fire,...
